The Emerald Enclave is a role-playing Free Company and cross world linkshell in ffxiv based on the world of Mateus on the crystal datacentre. We are a medium rp community with an emphasis on the spiritual, occult, and environmental themes surrounding the Twelveswood while also taking inspiration from Druidry and other nature-themed rp seen in fantasy settings. At the moment, the community is small and we looking for dedicated members to help it grow.In- character, The Emerald Enclave is a vigilante environmental organisation that works outside of the jurisdiction of the Stillglade Fane and the Twin Adders whose goal is to protect and maintain the natural balance of the Black Shroud. The organisation consists of two sides- the druids, priests, and priestesses of nature who are worshippers of the twelve, putting a special focus on Nophica, the elementals, and other spirits of nature, and the Guardians, the martial force of the Emerald Enclave who help protect the Black Shroud and members of the Enclave with their martial finesse.The Emerald Enclave operates out of Emerald Grove, a grove buried deep in the East Shroud. Anyone who wishes to protect the forests of the Black Shroud and who is comfortable working outside the jurisdiction of the Stillglade Fane and the Twin adders to protect the Black Shroud is welcome to join the enclave. Likewise, the enclave offers healing and sanctuary to anyone in need as long as they obey the laws of the circle.To learn more about how the druid circle operates and their beliefs please go here
Hierarchy
Within both the druid circle and the enclave itself there are different roles individuals can fulfill. The ranks for the druids are as follows

| Archdruid | The highest rank in the druid circle and the leader of the Emerald Enclave. This role is usually awarded to the wisest and most powerful druid in the circle. |
| Druid | One who has passed their trials is awarded the rank of druid. |
| Initiate | The entry rank for any who wish to learn to be druid. |
While the enclave is run by the druids of the grove, there are other ranks individuals who wish to join the enclaves cause can fill including

| Council | The council advises the archdruid and helps run the enclave. Both druids and non-druids who live within the enclave can be on the council. |
| Guardian | A melee or magic combatant whose duties include guarding the borders of the grove, helping take down threats besides the druids, scouting, hunting, and similar pursuits |
| Guest | A member of the enclave who does not fit into any of the roles listed. |
| Freelancer | As the name suggests, a freelancer is an individual who is not committed to the enclave but helps when they can. They do not stay at the grove on a permanent basis. This rank is given to CWLS members. |
| Contact | A friend, ally, or another type of contact of the enclave that is not a member of the fc. |
Rules
In-character rulesThe Emerald Grove is open to all in need of sanctuary. However, several rules to maintain the peace and safety of the Grove are expected to be followed or individuals may be asked to leave.Show respect to the darach, the heavenspillar tree at the centre of the grove and the Emerald Grove as a whole. The grove is considered a sanctuary both to nature and humans.Show respect to those around you, be it humans or animals. Both are to be treated with civility and no harm is to come to bird, beast, or man.Anyone with disagreements that may lead to physical alterations is asked to take them outside the grove.Respect the traditions of the druids. Do not insult their beliefs publicly nor insult the twelve or spirits. The Enclave is highly religious.Do your part. If you are staying long term at the grove, it is requested you help out around the grove, whether it be hunting, gathering or any other tasks.No one with conflicting interests may join the enclave. This includes individuals who are part of groups who would bring harm to the shroud or the enclave.Food retrieved from the forest that is to be consumed in the grove must be done so respectfully and thoughtfully. Over gathering, hunting endangered animals or doing anything that may cause harm to the forest or upset the elementals is to be avoided as best as possible. We ask that hunters use up as many parts of any animals they catch and kill as possible. Giving thanks to the animal who has given its life for food for human consumption is looked highly upon but not mandatory.Out of character rulesIn order to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for all people in the community, all members are expected to follow the below rules. Please ensure you are familiar with these rules before you apply. Like most fcs we have a three strike system except for more serious matters like pedophilic behaviour which is a single strike before you’re asked to leave.All members must be 18 years old or older both ic and ooc. The only exception to this is underage children who are role-played as npcs. Anyone found to be underage ic or ooc will be dismissed from the community.There is no tolerance for harassment, stalking, repeated targeted attacks, or slurs against others. This community is not a place for racism, transphobia, homophobia or any other xenophobic behaviour. If you have controversial opinions such as transwomen are not “real women”, this is not the community for you.Anyone found to be displaying pedophiliac behaviour will be removed from the community. This includes posting lolicon or shotacon, erping with minors ic or ooc or having f-lists or similar social media displaying an interest in underage characters.Continued excessive negative behaviour such as guilt-tripping, regular venting in inappropriate spaces, passive-aggressive behaviour, and similar behaviour that may affect the general mood of individuals or the community as a whole may result in an individual being asked to cease the behaviour in the community and seek therapeutic spaces for ongoing issues facing them. If no resolution in the behaviour can be found and the behaviour is impacting others in the community, the individual may be asked to take a hiatus from the community and return at a later date or to leave permanently. While we do have a venting channel for individuals to vent, we ask that individuals use that channel for any venting and any venting in regards to anyone in the immediate community be kept out of the channel.Politics or controversial topics are welcomed to be discussed but please be respectful towards others when discussing them. If asked by another member or officer to cease the discussion because it is getting heated or making them uncomfortable, please respect this request and discuss the topic privately elsewhere.Please use the appropriate discord channels for posting content. Likewise in voice chat in discord please use the appropriate channels such as streaming games or movies in the streaming channel. If individuals move to a different voice channel because a discord channel is too busy for them, please respect this need for space and do not follow them.Do not engage in disruptive, rude or trolling behaviour in-game or in other ffxiv community discords. Likewise, please respect the rules of any community channels you are in and respect the requests of any administrators of the channels.Please keep erp to private quarters or, at the least, to party chat. Anyone found to be pressuring people repeatedly and/or inappropriately for erp, sexual photos irl, romance irl or ic, or similar behaviour may face anywhere from a strike to a ban depending on the circumstances.Please follow general rp etiquette. This includes no godmoding, metagaming, constant use of fantasia or similar behaviours that are generally considered unacceptable in the rp community. When entering scenes that may be excessively dark and involve themes such as torture, death, gore, rape, please give a warning so anyone uncomfortable with the themes can remove themselves. Likewise, individuals are not to be pressured into these scenes.While the fc allows lore bending, straight up lore breaking is not allowed. Likewise, any characters that are npcs, the warrior of light, characters from other worlds that exist in other games like wow or other final fantasy games are not allowed in the fc.We ask that any nsfw discussions, memes, art, ect be put in the appropriate nsfw channels. Due to discord policies and people's comfort, please do not post lalafell nudes. We ask all content be of characters 18+ and no aged up characters be posted. The nsfw character art channel is for your ffxiv characters or any other ffxiv characters of age. The nsfw channel is for nsfw memes and other topics of discussion not suitable for general. Please do not post anything relating to hardcore kinks like scat, furry, futa (trans art is fine), water sports, ect ect. If you’re not sure if something is appropriate to post, please contact an officer.The Emerald Enclave uses freeform rp, up to and including battle scenarios. We ask that all members do not take advantage of this system to godmode or have their character -constantly- hurt. Please use common sense and follow rp etiquette. Anyone seen to be taking advantage of the fc’s freeform style will be taken aside and talked to. Likewise, we ask anyone sparring with another to either discuss it beforehand who will win or rolls three times and whoever has the highest rolls wins.No excessive sex talk. Talking about sex is fine but discussing things like personal kinks, the deep details of your latest erp or other highly sexual topics in fc or discord chat may make others uncomfortable so please be mindful of this.We expect fc members with ic roles to interact in character at least -once- every three months. If you are facing real-life problems and/or need to take a hiatus from rp, please feel free to contact an officer to discuss the situation and you can be relocated to the ooc/hiatus role until such a time you can return. More than three months absence from rp with no contact will result in you being dismissed from the fc.
Emerald Grove
The Emerald Grove is located in the far East Shroud, approximately one bells walk from the border of The Fringes in Gyr Abania. Surrounded by ancient heavenspillars and other woodland trees, the Emerald Grove is hard to find since both serve to hide the grove well from view. Eventually, the clearing comes into view, verdant and green, much flora and fauna can be seen around the grove. In the center is an ancient heavenspillar tree known as Darach, said to be almost as old as the Guardian Tree itself, home to an elder elemental. Streams lead out from the tree traverse through the east shroud. The aetherically sensitive may be able to sense three leylines converging underneath Darach, the aether helping to keep the grove verdant.On closer observation Darach, the heavenspillar at the centre of the grove has a great door carved in the front and several windows can be seen carved into the tree. It is said by those familiar with the area that a keeper clan once dwelled within the elder tree as a home. A few small signs can be seen throughout the grove pointing to it as the temple to Nophica and the place for visitors to visit if they seek the druid circle.The outer area of the grove has several huts that seem to be recently repaired occupied by farmers taking advantage of the verdant land.

The FC and CWLS is mostly active during EST prime time up until the early hours of the morning. We have a large house in the Lavender Beds on Mateus that ICly is located in the Emerald Enclaves grove deep in the East Shroud and the house is a giant, hollow Heavenspillar that serves as a temple to Nophica and home to the Emerald Enclave. FC-run RP nights take place once a week usually on a Friday or Saturday night, to help members keep in contact and work on creating long-term bonds and plots together.What we are looking forWe are looking for active players to join our fc and regularly interact ic and ooc. While we welcome both main and alternative characters at this time, it is a requirement that characters interact at an event once every three months otherwise they will be dismissed from the fc.Before applying, please be aware that we are not an FC that RPs all the time outside of our hosted events, and if you want RP outside of event times, you are expected to seek out your own RP with FC members, or in the community by yourself. The FC discord has an LFRP (Looking For RP) and LFC (Looking For Content) channels dedicated to helping players connect with others who wish to RP or run content.We are currently seeking intermediate to experienced role players who have three months or more experience role-playing in MMOs, forums, or any other form of role-playing. While are not currently taking inexperienced role players, role players new to FFXIV and its setting are welcome.While we are not lore strict, and much of the community's own role-play is lore bending, lore breaking is not allowed. We do not take canon NPCs, characters from other settings, or The Warrior of Light. Characters with the Echo are okay. Likewise, frequent use of Fantasias and name changes are unwelcome; we want your character and their story to join us, not whatever aesthetic has your attention for this week.All members, both IC and OOC, must be eighteen years and older with the exception of NPC children. Anyone found breaking this rule will be dismissed.Lastly, we RP themes involving spirituality, the occult, and environmentalism, and occasionally these scenes can touch on scenes that involve gore and horror.
